Get Involved

Continue the Legacy

WPCL believes that our individual commitments ladder up to a larger contribution to so many girls and women at home and abroad. We propose four ways to get involved and continue this important legacy: reflection, mentoring, giving, and service:

  • REFLECT on your experience with the Peace Corps and celebrate the impact it has had on you personally and professionally. Our ASK: Share your experience on our Facebook page and invite Peace Corps friends or colleagues to do the same.

  • MENTOR girls and women around you who might want help launching their careers, rethinking their lives, or expanding their horizons. Our ASK: Make a commitment of time and attention to a girl or woman who might appreciate the assistance at this point in her life.

  • GIVE to organizations that benefit girls and women not only down the street but around the world. You can donate to Women of Peace Corps Legacy, if you are a Federal Employee you can participate in the Combined Federal Campaign or Feds Feed Families, or you can donate to the organization of any of our award winners. Our ASK: Spread the news about organizations doing amazing work and donate to at least one of these at whatever level you are able.

  • SERVE in whatever way you can to help elevate girls and women, just as others have helped elevate us in the past. Our ASK: Sign up to continue serving. Some suggested sites to find volunteer opportunities near you include Volunteer Match, Points of Light, and Create the Good through AARP.
